The past week has been scary, stressful and exhausting, but Coastal Georgia made it past Dorian. My heart goes out to my friends in the Bahamas who are grieving their losses and working towards recovery.
The above quote sums up my feelings of gratefulness yesterday morning when I took a spontaneous walk in the dark with my beloved. I was in awe. We could see the stars for the first time in days. The Little Dipper and Orion made three-dimensional sketches amongst a billion diamonds.
I’ve always considered the idea of cherishing little moments and little things to be an old person’s way of shaming me for thinking on a bigger scale, but as I grow older myself, I’ve come to realize that less really is more.
